We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. Overview

The focus of this position is to enhance patient care and safety while working and collaborating positively as a member of the MCH team.

Responsible for the support of the medical providers in providing high quality medical care to patients. The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the medical, social, psychological and spiritual needs of the individual patient/resident and develops nursing care plans for that patient/resident while combining medical care, restorative and rehabilitative care along with patient/resident education. Responds to all Emergency Room patients during his/her assigned shift. Demonstrates leadership qualities by providing a calm and professional demeanor. Responsible for maintaining a high standard of care while on duty and offering encouragement, guidance and education to co-workers as needed.

Responsibilities

Assess and monitor patient health status, including vital signs and medical history.
Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Perform various clinical procedures such as spinal taps and ostomy care.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding discharge planning and ongoing care.
Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems
Engage in continuous professional development and training opportunities.

Experience

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Experience in a teaching hospital or similar healthcare environment is preferred.
Familiarity with ICD-10 coding is advantageous.
Previous experience in ICU, senior care, or occupational health settings is a plus.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
