Jacob Whetzel, MD Chief of Staff
Dr. Jacob Whetzel provides excellent patient care in the Mineral Community Hospital Clinic. He is caring for the lifespan of patients, with a special interest in pediatric medicine. Outside of work, Dr. Whetzel enjoys hiking, skiing and all the outdoor fun Western Montana has to offer!
Megan Pugh, PA-C
Megan was born in Jackson Hole, WY. She attended Bozeman High, and then went on to MSU. Yes, she is a Bobcat fan! Megan enjoys spending time with her yellow lab, Barlie, along with camping, hiking, and the great outdoors.

Brian Lopez, MD
Dr. Brian Lopez cares for patients in the Mineral Community Hospital as well as the Emergency Room. He grew up in eastern New Mexico. He attended The University of New Mexico for undergraduate and medical school. When not caring for patients, he enjoys fishing, hunting, and generally enjoying the outdoors!
Dr. Christopher Maki, M.D.
Dr. Christopher Maki, MD is a general surgeon with over 13 years of experience in the medical field. He graduated from Ben Gurion University In Collaboration With Columbia University in 2010. He is affiliated with Saint Patrick Hospital
Jane A. Whetzel, APRN, PA-C
Jane Whetzel graduated from the University of North Dakota with degrees as a Physician's Assistant and also a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). With more than 30 years' experience, Jane is a welcome addition to the Mineral Community Hospital family.
Dr. Karyn Ridgeway is Board-certified in Emergency Medicine. She is received her MD from Oregon Health and Sciences University in Portland Oregon and completed residency at Loma Linda University in CA. She grew up in Montana and enjoys living, working, and raising her family here
John B. Miller
Dr. John Miller received his MD degree from the University of Washington through the WWAMI program in 2000. He grew up in north Idaho and has lived in western Montana since 2011. He and his family enjoy many of the outdoor activities the area has to offer. He is pleased to join the outstanding team at Mineral Community Hospital.
Karyn Thornton, PA-C
Karyn Thornton grew up in Wisconsin, and received her physician assistant education from the University of Grand Forks, N.D. She continued to pursue more training and experience in her career, first as an Emergency Medical Technician, then paramedic, She also worked as an Emergency Flight nurse at a level- two trauma center and most recently she works in emergency medicine and cardiology services as a hospitalist in critical access across Montana.

Morgan Kellogg, MD
Dr. Morgan Kellogg is an interventional cardiologist for Billings Clinic Heart and Vascular specializing in complex coronary interventions. Dr. Kellogg is originally from New York City, and after studying at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York, he attended Medical School at Tel Aviv University in Israel. He completed his internal medicine residency at Stamford Hospital in Connecticut, his Cardiology Fellowship at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine, and his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Kellogg is married with two sons. He is an avid aviator and outdoorsmen who enjoys rafting, hiking, and exploring the great state of Montana.
Laura A. Salyers, MD
Laura A. Salyers, MD is a practicing Psychiatrist (Therapist) in Missoula, MT, with Providence Health & Services- Psychiatry. Dr Salyers graduated from University of Kentucky College of Medicine in 1998 and has been in practice for 22 years. She completed a residency at University of Kentucky Medical Center. Dr Salyers also specializes in Neurology. Dr Salyers also practices at St Claire Counseling in Morehead, KY.
