At Mineral Community Hospital (MCH), we understand that our mission is to improve the health and quality of life of our community. MCH is a Level IV Trauma Receiving Facility. We provide inpatient, outpatient, 24-hour emergency room care, long-term care and physical therapy, as well as many other health care services you may not expect to find in a rural hospital and health center.

As Mineral County's primary health care provider, we offer acute care services, both skilled and long-term care, and outpatient and physician services.

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including assisted living facilities, hospitals, and outpatient clinics. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in supporting patients' health and well-being while collaborating with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
Provide care for patients with behavioral health needs, ensuring a safe environment.
Conduct medical imaging procedures as needed and assist in critical care situations.
Support patients requiring catheter care and gastric lavage when necessary
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care activities.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide updates on patient status.

Skills

Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, emotionally upset and at times hostile people of all ages within the facility or on the phone.
Must have knowledge of nursing equipment including blood pressure monitor, scale, proper procedure tools, and other equipment used to assist provider.
Able to organize and prioritize workload.
Able to work under pressure and perform multitasking duties under pressure with accuracy
Must have manual dexterity.
Able to complete tasks within a given time frame.
Able to work with minimal supervision.
