The Business Advocacy of the commerce community meets the 3rd Thursday of each month at their office for 1.5 hours of discussion that ranges from the fundraisers (Oktoberfest, Golf Tournament) to semi-annual events (Airport Fly-In) to their assisted participation in the Old School House Rock Car Show and Alberton Rail Road Day. Meetings are open to the public as new ideas are shared and the business climate is examined. The chamber works with the Mineral County Community Foundation, County Commissioners and the MSU Extension office on ideas to recruit new employers and business to the community. Registered 501C(3)’s are invited to participate and membership for business start at $25 per year.
