The Mineral County DUI Task Force represents a diverse cross section of the community appointed by the Mineral County Commissioners with the mission of promoting a healthier and safer environment for the county residents by reducing the number of alcohol/drug-related traffic crashes through environmental and enforcement strategies, public education, awareness and legislation. This task force has been inactive for a few years but former Mineral County Sheriff, Ernie Ornelas, is spear heading this group and meetings are open to the public, of all ages.
